Formula Recall

My friend call me few minutes ago telling me about Similac product recall. My heart just sink! At that time I don’t even know if the formula I use was part of the recall but it’s still give me a very uneasy feeling in my stomach.

I frantically call my husband at home to get the batch or lot # of the formula I use and went into the website to check it out. After entering the lot # here’s what comes up:

“Your product is recalled. Please stop Using this product immediately and click the appropriate button below for further instructions.”

What I fear is happening!

All they talk about is where I can drop off the contaminated product to get full refund. Well, at this point, I don’t care about the refund. What will happen to my baby? What else should (or can) I feed her??? I’m half nursing and pumping but with my schedule as a full time working Mom, I can’t barely pump to 4oz each time.

I know I probably over reacted over this. All these unforeseen danger to my child is so overwhelming! I’m not just talking about this formula recall but among other things that happening out there. Now I know what my mom keep on saying how the job as a parents is never ended…. The worries continues no matter how old your child is….

For you who are also using Similac, go to their website for more information.

  1. Sucks we can’t blame it on the Chinese….
Really, this should be an eye opener that food made in US is no better than China in quality. Beef, eggs, veg, etc. It’s just US products have better marketing.

  2. I agree, too bad this product wasn’t made in China so the news broadcast some more China bashing rants from the brain washed crowd that think US product is better than anybody.

  3. Hope it’ll be alright for your baby. Inshaallah Khair.
And all those comments above sure are true 🙂 Isn’t it always so much easier to find a scapegoat!

    • Hi, Alhamdulillah she’s fine. I’m half nursing but after going back tow ork full time unfortunately it’s not working very well. And you’re right, it’s part of human culture, making excuses and findung a scapegoat. 🙂 InsyaAllah we need to be better than that.
